Award winning design and digital agency Creative Lynx have just launched a brand new website for the Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus (DSIC).

Formed as part of a government initiative to maximise the effects of public investment on business-science collaborations, Daresbury SIC is the shared vision of six key stakeholders -the NWDA, Central Council for Laboratory Research Councils, University of Manchester, University of Lancaster, University of Liverpool and Halton Borough Council.

The Daresbury campus consists of the Daresbury Laboratory, the Cockroft Institute and the Daresbury Innovation Centre. The campus, which opened in September 2006, was created to provide high technology companies, research institutes and academia with a physical and technologically collaborative environment, aiming to maximise scientific research, business wealth and job creation.

Creative Lynx were appointed to the project after a competitive tender process and a 3 way pitch and tasked with the redesign and development of the website.

Brett Cooper, Head of E-Communications at the agency speaks of the appointment

"We were really thrilled to be appointed to the Daresbury SIC project. I really admire the work and technological breakthroughs they achieve there and fully support the project as a whole. We've worked with the management team at Daresbury to make the site as informative and user friendly as possible, both vital to meeting the objectives. The site also conforms to all the very latest accessibility standards."

The site aims to provide up to date information on the state-of-the-art facilities and expertise available on campus and help tenants find out how the support networks are helping more and more high-tech businesses to grow and prosper.
