LEADING design agency Creative Lynx have united with Trevor Johnson, one of the UK's foremost authorities in graphic design and visual communication.

With over 25 years of iconic designs to his name, Trevor is taking up the role of Creative Director, fronting the young design team at one of Manchester's most established creative agencies.

Bringing the attention of the design world to 'Madchester' with his stark, industrial and unashamedly typographic designs for Factory Records and the Haçienda (alongside Peter Saville, currently Manchester's own Creative Director), Trevor has earned a place at the very heart of Manchester's creative legacy. Ever since, Trevor has been a consistently notable contributor to the city's urban renaissance through his work for many of Manchester's most prestigious brands and organisations, playing a key role in establishing Manchester as an international city of creative excellence.

The agency he joins, Creative Lynx, is one of England's foremost design groups, providing award winning creative services for a wide portfolio of pharmaceutical, education and public sector clients. The company has been involved in a number of significant projects across Manchester including the successful Commonwealth Games bid, the regeneration of the Canal Street area and Castlefield along with the bid for Sportcity and projects with New East Manchester.

But it's not just Manchester that Creative Lynx have helped transform, a recent award winning project for North Northants Development Company has revitalised the dilapidated former steel town of Corby and they continue to work for international organisations such as the United Nations, World Health Organisation and the Global Fund from their central European office in Geneva.

Speaking of his move to Creative Lynx, Trevor commented, "It's great to finally join with Creative Lynx, I've always admired the team as an agency that put its clients needs first and their commitment to investing in people was a major factor in my decision to join them."

The feeling is mutual as Managing Director Stuart Wilson says "Having collaborated with Trevor on many projects over the years, it's a huge boost to everyone at Creative Lynx to secure such an outstanding talent to head up our creative team. The whole Studio is very excited to be working alongside such a luminary and Trevor's appointment is something that can only be good for our long-term development as an Agency.

Creative Lynx has grown considerably in the UK and we're proud to say that this growth is based solely around our commitment to delivering strong creative concepts and first class client service. These are exciting times for everyone at Creative Lynx, clients and colleagues alike, and we look forward to making Trevor a central part of that."

The appointment marks a strong period of growth for Creative Lynx who this year are marking their 21st anniversary of business in the city and confirms their position as one of the UK's leading independent creative agencies.

The move is expected and intended to cause quite a stir in the design community.
