Creative Lynx's 'More in Corby' campaign has won a top award at the property industry's prestigious Property Marketing Awards (formerly PAMADA's), held at the Marriott Hotel in London on Wednesday 28th March.

The awards, organised by Estates Gazette and this year presented by TV and radio comedian Tony Hawks recognise excellence and achievements in property marketing and receive over 500 entries each year across 17 categories.

The award was picked up in the public sector category for the integrated campaign featuring Stephen Fry to promote the regeneration of Corby to house-buyers which ran for eight weeks in October and involved press and poster ads, online activity, a radio campaign and the website. www.moreincorby.com

The 'More' theme for the campaign highlights the benefits of locating to former steel town, particularly in comparison to life in the capital, such as lower house prices, commutability to London and proximity to the Northamptonshire countryside.

The judging panel, chaired by Geoff Hurst, Marketing Director, Chartered Institute of Marketing said "More in Corby was the unanimous and outstanding winner in this section and showed just how much can be achieved with a well co-ordinated, multi media approach to marketing. Selling the concept of Corby is not an easy task but the campaign made good use of statistics and hard information, and not just glossy marketing presentation, to tell the story in a wholly convincing way that is already yielding results."

Speaking of the win, Bob Lane of the North Northants Development Company (NNDC) who commissioned the project said "We are very pleased to have won this award for the Corby Place Marketing campaign, which is really opening people's eyes to what the borough already has to offer in terms of open space, affordable homes and the exciting changes taking place in the town centre. We saw hundreds of new people move to the borough in 2006, and fantastic progress with development."

'More in Corby' has been extremely successful for the NNDC, with house price increases above the national average and second and third campaign stages already in planning. The next stage of the campaign will be released in April 2007.
